After years of terrible experiences with other dentists, I can safely say that Lifetime Dental has made having a healthy and attractive smile, not only completely attainable, but easier than I could’ve ever imagined. My smile now looks the way I always imagined it should. My face looks better than ever. I’m breathing much more easily than ever, and my teeth are actually functional now. Despite my daughter excitedly telling complete strangers, “MY MOM HAS BRACES!,” I’ve not really advertised the fact I was indeed a 40-year-old in braces. While I wasn’t thrilled to have to go through the braces again, I sure was happy to discover functional dentistry was a thing and that it has the power to eradicate TMJ pain. A few years ago, I started having major pain in what I thought was my ear area. After several trips to docs, certain I had bad double ear infections, I was told I had TMJ. I’d heard of that but didn’t really understand what it was. It sounded like the common treatments were Botox shots or wearing invasive mouth guards, neither of which appealed to me. I was pumped to find out my dentist, Dr. Afzali of Lifetime Dental & Fastbraces was actually a functional dentist who did orthodontic care through something called Fastbraces. Like the name indicates, your treatment is much faster than a standard course of braces, like I had at a far too young age, when I was about 10 and not done growing yet. Hence my teeth moved a lot after those braces and my bite wasn’t right, leading to TMJ pain. Dr. Afzali showed me results from TMJ patients who tried Fastbraces and I took the plunge in December of 2022. By January of this year, about a month after starting treatment, I could not believe my TMJ was completely gone. No more giant ball of swelling at my mandibular joint. No more crazy pain in my ear. No more clenching my teeth at night. I could not believe the results but I was living them so I knew it was actually happening! I had fun getting pink and purple bracket rubber bands to amuse my daughter and I definitely got rainbow “gay-ces” for PRIDE month before I got my braces removed! 🌈 The staff answered all my questions throughout the process so patiently and treated me like family. I’m so happy with the results! This process was never for a cosmetic goal but it really feels good to be pain free in my jaws AND have a confident smile again. 😁

I had been his patient before my daugh was born. My daugh now is 20, soon will be 21. Dr. Shain and his staffs, are family-like to us. They knew my daugh whereabouts since her kindergarten and up until now. This place or his business, deserved 5*****. Here are the reasons why: 1. He is honest and his staffs(dont take shortcut 2. Friendly environment 3. Clean place 4. Work with ur budget 5. His staffs are very watchful when his doing the procedures 6. Very detailed procedures (all staffs Lastly, I could never find a place that i feel comfortable with. --------------------------new ANNOUNCEMENT below. As of 8/15/21.. They always take care of me when i’m there. Above all they are always kind and professional. I’ve had my fast braces for almost 2 months now and I already see a noticeable difference. I was suffering from TMJ pain for about a month and couldn’t open my mouth to drink water or yawn nonetheless. Jennifer assisted me today with a clean up. She was great, checked on me if I was doing fine while she cleaned and flossed my teeth, and did an awesome job. I had an emergency, broke a crown. I called and was able to schedule an immediate appointment. Came in, received a temporary crown and all the necessary steps were taken to get my final replacement in less than 2 weeks! Loved all the staff, they were professional and extremely helpful. I’m extremely happy with every aspect of service, staff and my new crown and would highly recommend Lifetime Dental for all Dental matters. Thank you guys!
